Foreign media reported on April 7, the Government of Canada announced on April 7 against the auto parts supplier's rescue measures, and warned that the Government is ready for GM and a subsidiary of Chrysler Corporation of Canada to take all possible measures, including bankruptcy protection.
Clement Minister of Industry (TonyClement) said, "This is to support in the manufacturing sector to play a key role in the automotive industry and to help the domestic auto parts suppliers." At the same time, he also said that the Government has the Department of Export Development Canada (ExportDevelopmentCanada) for the auto parts supplier's accounts receivable insurance plan to increase 700 million Canadian dollars (about 565 million U.S. dollars).
